In my first role at Showpad, as Sr EMEA Recruiter, I reported directly to Caroline. Since this day she is one of the best managers I have had. She is transparent in her communication and always gives enough context for decisions made, believes in her team and guides them gently in the right direction. She learned me to understand the business, how to approach different HR topics (international recruiting strategy, l&d, performance management, reward and recognition programs, ...). She is not afraid of challenging her team and pushes you to be the best employee you can be. I have had multiple eye-opening conversations with Caroline and till this day I call her if I struggle with any work-related topic.

Caroline en ik hebben tijdens onze samenwerking bij Newell Rubbermaid een aantal zaken verwezenlijkt. Wat mij vooral opviel was haar gedrevenheid, ook haar coaching skills waren overduidelijk. Iedereen kon bij haar terecht voor advies en opvolging van werkpunten. Zij was dan ook iemand die graag gezien werd binnen het bedrijf.

Het opstarten en in stand houden van een “Safety awareness” bij onze mensen was één van de belangrijkste projecten. Het heeft er ook toe geleid dat de Dymo-vestiging een onmisbare pion werd bij Newell. Caroline speelde hierbij een belangrijke rol als Key HR-partner. Door haar meedenken en samenwerking was Caroline één van de leidende figuren van dit project.

Zoals in elk gezond bedrijf was er ook weerstand n.a.v. de voortdurende veranderingen bij de arbeiders en bedienden. Ook hierin nam Caroline resoluut het voortouw door de mensen te begeleiden in “change management”. Het overleg en de samenwerking met de syndicale partners was hiervoor cruciaal.
